Author Jeff Swaney was born in Detroit Michigan1958 in its heyday, raised in Royal Oak Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in 1981. Follow Swaney from the start of his life in that Detroit, Michigan—facing the challenges of a city you’ll feel and smell collapsing around him. This leads him to backpacking the world, penniless for over a year after college at MSU, a stint with Hewlett Packard Company and then on to becoming a business leader in Dallas, Texas for 35 years. Today he is a single father to two teenage children at age sixty-six residing in Bend, Oregon.
