None of the answers is a first offering memoir by successful American entrepreneur Jeff Swaney.

Highly entertaining and doubling as the escape desperately sought in books and film, we witness near death on mountain summits, oceans riptides, wild animal encounters, desert madness, illegal all night party police raids, jailtime and near electrocution of thousands of club patrons one night to name a few. Provides validation that we all must be a little crazy to navigate a world that’s gone mad.
Themes of vivid and fresh connections and history include Detroit, Dallas, Deep Ellum Texas and ancient Greece amongst others earthly locales. Mind blowing intersections with JFK, Jack Ruby, various rock bands, and the Baptist foundation of Texas, supercharge together with personalities woven in, including Socrates, Einstein, Malthus, and John Muir and in the more modern era Jeff’s connections with contemporaries Isaac Tigrett, Dr. Timothy Leary, Abbie Hoffman, Stanley Marcus, and Mark Cuban to name a few. This all, together with the underground funky nightclub he founded, that was an international destination for over a million souls including the rock hoi polloi for 20 years, and the quirky philosophies shared, give the tale a decidedly 60’s bent. Topics of love, forgiveness, patience, perseverance, purpose, hopelessness, resilience, faith, parenting, and mortality, provide for off-beat anecdotes. Comparisons to Salinger, Sedaris, Kerouac, and JD Vance are evident albeit this is not a book noir, with more rollicking and freewheeling energy such as Gilbert, Poscente, Hemingway, Thompson, and King’s book on Writing.
